AN ACT relating to civics education, making an appropriation therefor, and declaring an emergency.

This bill would update Kentucky's social studies standards to require that instruction on the Civil Rights movement be included in public school curricula from elementary through high school. It sets specific minimum requirements for what that instruction must cover and includes a funding appropriation to support the change.
