Plain-language summary
This bill proposes a change to Kentucky's constitution that would automatically restore voting rights to people convicted of certain felonies once they have completed their prison sentence, probation, or parole. It would also restore their broader civil rights five years after completing that sentence. Because it is a constitutional amendment, Kentucky voters would have the final say on whether to approve or reject the change. Who it may affect: Kentuckians with certain felony convictions, as well as voters statewide who would vote on whether to ratify the amendment.
