AN ACT relating to education.

This bill, called the Red Tape Reduction Act, reduces several administrative requirements for Kentucky public schools and their staff. It extends the time between required formal evaluations for tenured school employees from every three years to every five years, requires the state Department of Education to organize all required professional development trainings into a clear four-year schedule, and removes or consolidates various state-mandated reporting and training requirements that go beyond what federal law requires.
