AN ACT relating to adoption.

This law creates a new legal process in Kentucky called posthumous adoption, which allows an adoption to be recognized or completed even after the death of the adopting parent. It adds this option to the state's existing adoption laws. This change may provide legal protections and family recognition for children whose adoption was in progress when a parent died.
