AN ACT relating to animal control officers.

This bill, known as Kyan's Law, would require animal control officers to complete training on how to recognize signs of child abuse. It would also make animal control officers legally obligated to report suspected child neglect or abuse, adding them to the existing list of professionals who must report such concerns. Who it may affect: animal control officers, and children in situations where abuse or neglect may be present.
