AN ACT relating to special license plates.

This bill would change how fees collected for Kentucky National Guard specialty license plates are handled, directing a portion of both the initial purchase and renewal fees to the National Guard Association of Kentucky. Currently, those fees do not include this dedicated contribution. It would create a funding stream for the association through the existing plate program. Who it may affect: Kentucky National Guard members and veterans who hold or are considering a National Guard specialty plate, as well as county clerks who process plate transactions.
