AN ACT relating to animal control officers.

This bill would require animal control officers in Kentucky to receive training on how to recognize signs of child abuse. Because animal control officers sometimes enter homes and interact with families, this training could help them identify and report situations where children may be in danger. The bill is named Kyan's Law. Who it may affect: animal control officers, local governments that employ them, and children in households where animal control responds.
