AN ACT relating to hazardous duty coverage in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System.

This bill would update the definition of "hazardous position" in Kentucky's state employee retirement system to include forensic lab and crime scene personnel who work for the Kentucky State Police. If approved, those employees would qualify for the same hazardous duty retirement benefits currently available to other workers in positions classified as hazardous. Who it may affect: Kentucky State Police forensic lab and crime scene employees.
