AN ACT relating to expungement.

This bill would create a process to automatically expunge, or clear, certain felony convictions from a person's record without requiring them to file a petition. Currently, people seeking expungement typically must take steps on their own to initiate the process. This change would make record-clearing happen on its own for those whose convictions qualify. Who it may affect: Kentuckians with eligible felony convictions on their records.
