AN ACT relating to public holidays.

This bill would remove two dates from Kentucky's list of recognized public holidays: January 29 and June 3. Currently, those dates are among the days when public offices in the state are allowed to close. If passed, public offices would no longer have that option on those two days. Who it may affect: people who rely on access to state and local government offices, and public employees whose schedules may be tied to the current holiday calendar.
