AN ACT relating to tampering with a prisoner monitoring device.

This bill would update Kentucky law to make it a crime to tamper with video recording or video monitoring devices inside correctional facilities. Currently, the law covers tampering with other types of prisoner monitoring equipment, and this change would extend those same protections to video surveillance systems. Who it may affect: people incarcerated in Kentucky correctional facilities, correctional facility staff, and facility administrators.
