AN ACT relating to the Kentucky Emergency Volunteer Corps.

This bill creates the Kentucky Emergency Volunteer Corps, known as the KEV Corps, as a new volunteer unit within the Kentucky State Defense Force. It sets out rules for who can join, how members are trained and supervised, what they can wear, and how the program is funded. Local emergency management directors and city or county governments would be able to call on the KEV Corps to help during declared disasters or emergencies.
