AN ACT relating to motor vehicle racing.

This bill increases the penalties for illegal motor vehicle racing on public roads. A first offense would bring higher fines and vehicle impoundment for up to six months, while a second or later offense could result in permanent vehicle forfeiture. Money raised from auctioning forfeited vehicles would go to the Crime Victims Compensation Board. Who it may affect: drivers cited for illegal street racing and crime victims who receive compensation through the state board.
