AN ACT relating to commercial driver's licenses.

This bill would allow commercial truck drivers under the age of 21 to obtain a hazardous materials endorsement on their commercial driver's license, as long as they are only driving within Kentucky's borders. Currently, that endorsement is restricted to drivers 21 and older, so this change would expand who qualifies for it in intrastate hauling. Who it may affect: young commercial truck drivers under 21 and the Kentucky employers who hire them.
