AN ACT relating to tampering with a prisoner monitoring device.

This bill would update Kentucky law to make it a crime to tamper with video recording or video monitoring devices inside correctional facilities. Currently, the law covers tampering with prisoner monitoring devices, and this change would extend those same protections to video equipment used to oversee inmates. Who it may affect: people incarcerated in Kentucky correctional facilities, correctional facility staff, and facility administrators.
