This bill would require Kentucky's public colleges and universities to make opioid antagonists — medications that can reverse an opioid overdose — available on their campuses, including through emergency cabinets similar to AED stations. It also allows these institutions to apply for funding from the state's opioid abatement trust fund to cover the cost of obtaining and maintaining that supply. Who it may affect: students, faculty, staff, and visitors at Kentucky's public colleges and universities.
