AN ACT relating to economic development.

This bill changes how local tourist and convention commissions can fill their seats when a city or county does not have a formal restaurant association, hotel and motel association, or chamber of commerce. In those cases, it would allow the chief executive officer of the local tourist and convention center to directly appoint representatives from local restaurants, hotels, or motels. It also makes minor technical corrections to the existing law. Who it may affect: local restaurant and lodging business owners, and local tourist and convention commissions in smaller or rural Kentucky communities.
