AN ACT relating to unemployment insurance.

This bill would remove the one-week waiting period that currently delays unemployment benefits for Kentuckians who lose their jobs. Under current law, eligible workers must wait one week before receiving any payments; this change would allow benefits to begin immediately upon approval. Who it may affect: workers who have recently lost their jobs and are applying for unemployment benefits.
