AN ACT relating to data centers.

This bill sets rules for how electric utilities must handle requests from data centers for large amounts of power. It requires contracts between utilities and data centers to include certain protections so that the costs of building new infrastructure for data centers are not passed on to other customers. Data centers seeking state tax incentives would also need to certify they are following these requirements.
