AN ACT relating to interpersonal violence and abuse.

This bill would expand the legal definitions of domestic violence and abuse, and dating violence and abuse, under Kentucky law. Broadening these definitions could allow more situations or behaviors to qualify for legal protections such as protective orders. Who it may affect: people who have experienced or are at risk of domestic or dating violence, and those who work in the court and legal system handling such cases.
