AN ACT relating to professional dispensing fees for prescription drugs and declaring an emergency.

This bill would remove a current requirement that certain health insurance contracts pay a minimum dispensing fee to independent retail pharmacies when they fill prescriptions. Dispensing fees are amounts insurers pay pharmacies to cover the cost of preparing and providing medications to patients. Who it may affect: independently owned retail pharmacies and patients who use them.
