AN ACT relating to the awarding of a medal of distinction by the General Assembly.

This bill creates a new award called the Kentucky General Assembly Medal of Distinction. It sets out the rules for what someone must do to qualify for the medal and explains how recipients will be chosen. The award would be given by the Kentucky state legislature to recognize notable individuals. Who it may affect: Kentuckians nominated for or selected to receive the medal, and members of the General Assembly involved in the selection process.
