AN ACT relating to the environmental remediation fee.

This bill would raise the environmental remediation fee from $1.75 to $2.00 and create a new category called a "residual waste facility." It also requires that fees collected from these facilities be sent back to the county where the facility is located, rather than going elsewhere. Who it may affect: residents and local governments in counties that host residual waste facilities, and businesses that operate or use those facilities.
