This bill would create a new crime called vehicular homicide for drivers who cause another person's death while traveling more than 25 miles per hour over the speed limit, or while committing certain other traffic violations. It establishes specific criminal charges for these situations, which are not currently defined as a distinct offense under that name. The bill may be cited as Daniels Law. Who it may affect: all Kentucky drivers, and families of those killed in traffic incidents involving excessive speeding or related traffic violations.
