AN ACT relating to falsely reporting an incident.

This bill would increase the seriousness of the charge and the punishment for knowingly giving false information to a law enforcement officer when the purpose is to wrongly implicate another person. Under current Kentucky law, this conduct is already an offense, and this bill would make the consequences more severe under certain circumstances.
