AN ACT relating to fetal homicide.

This bill would have changed Kentucky's fetal homicide law to allow a pregnant woman to be prosecuted for the death of her own fetus. Under current law, fetal homicide charges apply to others who cause the death of a fetus, but this bill would have removed the protection that shields a pregnant woman from being charged under that same law. Who it may affect: pregnant women and prosecutors handling cases involving fetal death.
