Plain-language summary
This bill would set new rules for companies that provide digital asset wallets, which are tools people use to store and access cryptocurrency and similar digital assets. It would require those companies to offer live customer service during business hours and to help users regain access to their wallets if they forget a password or other login information. Violating these requirements would be treated as a deceptive trade practice, and the Attorney General would have authority to enforce the rules. Who it may affect: Kentuckians who use digital asset wallets or cryptocurrency services.
