This bill would change the process for how parents and guardians can appeal school materials, programs, or events they believe are harmful to minors. It would require local school boards to let parents or guardians read passages aloud from the disputed material during the appeal process. If a board refuses to allow that opportunity, the material, program, or event would have to be removed immediately. Who it may affect: parents and guardians of school-age children, and local school boards across Kentucky.
