AN ACT relating to guardianship.

This bill updates Kentucky's guardianship and conservatorship laws in several ways. It requires most conservators to file annual financial reports with the court, while allowing the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to file those reports every two years instead. It also requires conservators to disclose if they have delegated their powers to someone else, and sets time limits on emergency guardianships and conservatorships. Who it may affect: people under guardianship or conservatorship, their family members, conservators and limited conservators, and courts handling guardianship cases.
