AN ACT relating to large group health insurance.

This bill would remove a local government fee or tax on large group health insurance policies that are newly offered starting January 1, 2027. Currently, insurance companies pay a license fee or tax to local governments on these policies, and this bill would end that requirement for new large group plans going forward. Who it may affect: insurance companies offering large group health plans, and potentially employers and employees covered under those plans.
