AN ACT relating to pharmaceutical manufacturers.

This bill would prohibit pharmaceutical manufacturers from treating certain health care providers differently when it comes to drug pricing or access based on their participation in a federal drug discount program known as 340B. It sets out definitions related to these protections and gives the Kentucky Attorney General the authority to investigate manufacturers that may be breaking the rules. Who it may affect: patients served by safety-net health care providers, such as community health centers and hospitals that participate in the 340B federal drug discount program.
