AN ACT relating to administrative subpoenas.

This bill expands the types of companies that Kentucky law enforcement can send administrative subpoenas to during criminal investigations. It adds social networking companies, mobile payment services, and cloud storage services to the list of businesses that must respond to these subpoenas, alongside other account-based services already covered by law. An administrative subpoena allows investigators to request customer account information without going to a judge first.
