AN ACT relating to the supervision of pharmacy technicians.

This bill would change the rules for how closely pharmacists must oversee pharmacy technicians when they are stocking, retrieving, or returning products in certain pharmacy settings. Specifically, it would prevent the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy from requiring a pharmacist to be immediately present during those tasks in nonretail pharmacies, such as hospital or institutional pharmacies. This could affect how pharmacies in those settings schedule and deploy their staff.
