AN ACT relating to compulsory attendance.

This bill would change Kentucky's compulsory school attendance law to allow students who are at least 16 years old and have already earned a High School Equivalency Diploma to be exempt from the requirement to attend school. Currently, Kentucky law requires children to attend school until a certain age, and this bill would create an exception for those who have already completed an equivalent credential.
