AN ACT relating to non-compete clauses.

This bill would make non-compete clauses unenforceable under Kentucky law and establish definitions and notice requirements related to those agreements. Non-compete clauses are contract provisions that restrict workers from taking jobs with competitors or starting competing businesses after leaving an employer. Passing this bill would limit employers' ability to use such restrictions on Kentucky workers. Who it may affect: workers and employees who have signed or may be asked to sign non-compete agreements, as well as employers who use them.
